Word clock.

Word Clock for Mac, PC, iPhone from Simon Heys on Vimeo.

Completely pointless screensaver (well, they’re all completely pointless at this point, but that’s besides the point) that tells the time with words. Why post it then? Because a) I’m a sucker for good design, and b) I have a blog. I like the rotary best.

Not bad. But I thought maybe the words wouldn’t be numbers spelled out, but would instead be random words and then, as it ticked, it would make sentences. That would maybe be better. I mean this is cool though and all.

How surrealist of you, Em. You should send Mr. Heys an e-mail.

Exactly. Like a time-telling exquisite corpse. Nah, I’ll just make snarky comments about it on your blog instead.

It probably wouldn’t be that hard to do– I mean the code is already written, and you’d just need to swap out the exquisite corpse words for the time words. I wonder if it’s open source?
